Lionhearted Events was born out of a movement in the wedding industry to embrace individuality alongside tradition. Here at Lionhearted Events we strive to plan and execute weddings that are truly reflective of each individual client. By incorporating our knowledge of weddings and logistics with your impeccable taste, we work together to produce a vibrant celebration of your love story that feels uniquely ‘you’. Don’t get caught up in the stress of what you should be doing or the social media influencers that give you more anxiety than advice - we make wedding planning manageable and approachable for all our clients.

You can be confident in our ability to deliver the very best to you on your wedding day. Our deep understanding of the event industry and our extensive wedding planning experience has helped our team produce over 350 celebrations and counting! Here at Lionhearted Events we are blessed to wake up every day and do what we love. Our job allows us to work with amazing couples and witness some of the most beautiful moments in their lives, surrounded by the love of their partners, friends, and families - however we know that not everyone in our community is as privileged as we are.

Lionhearted Events is committed to supporting our neighbors in need by donating a portion of profits annually to Feeding America and the Human Rights Campaign. These organizations champion stability and dignity for our most vulnerable of populations and we believe that everyone deserves a chance at their own happy ending.

Get to know your planners!

No, we didn’t just start planning because we planned our own (or a friend’s) wedding and thought it’d be fun. No, you won’t get stuck with someone who is fresh as a snowflake. We’re seasoned professionals who have been doing this for years - because that’s what you deserve. Get to know a little about each of us and take a peak at a few weddings everyone has produced!

Grace is an Orlando native (yes, her first job was at Disney) who found her love of events while working on political campaigns in college. After working under some of the country’s premiere planners, Grace founded Lionhearted Events in 2015 and has been putting her own creative stamp on the wedding scene ever since! With 200+ weddings under her belt you can rest assured you’re in good hands with Grace at the wheel!

When she's not planning weddings you can find Grace chasing around her doodle rescue Libby or scheming about her next tropical destination to escape these Midwest winters!

Haylie is a native New Yorker turned Midwest transplant and has served as a Wedding Planner for Lionhearted Events since 2019. Haylie’s background is in stage management and event production but her passion is for all things creative. Her larger than life persona and get shi* done attitude makes her perfect for coordinating chaos and making sure everyone has an amazing time on your wedding day.

Fun fact, Haylie eloped in New Zealand last year - talk about a destination wedding! It was gorgeous, she’ll be happy to show you all the pictures of their adventures!

Favorite tradition: Private vows before the ceremony

Hailing from West Town, Anna’s laid back demeanor coupled with her cool girl style makes her one of the most sought after members of the Lionhearted team. Anna joined us from the great wide world of catering which makes her a huge asset in when planning rentals and F&B, but where she really excels is her keen eye for design. Chances are if design is your number one priority and you’re getting married in Chicago, Anna will be your planner! She has worked with Lionhearted Events since 2019 but has been in the world of weddings long before!

When she’s not working weddings you can usually find her playing with her dachshund or hanging around Logan Square.

Cydnei is a busy bee and a social butterfly which make her perfect for charming all your guests on the big day while simultaneously keeping track of all the moving pieces! Cydnei came to us from the great wide world of catering and venue management and has been a huge asset for her couples, as she can lend her wisdom so many areas. She's big into logistics and not afraid to take on anyone who gets the way of your perfect day!

When she’s not working, you can usually find Cydnei scouting out cocktail bars with her partner or planning her outfits for the next big concert.
